When it comes to finding stylish reading glasses, it’s important to understand what power or magnification is right for you. We make it easy, so you know exactly what to look for when it’s time to buy. Our reading glasses come in a range of strengths and to help you identify the strength you need, simply click here to download and print our sight test chart.
Hold the chart about 35cm (14 inches away) from your eyes and begin reading at the top line. While doing this, you can wear corrective contact lenses but glasses must be removed.
The numbers located on the right (+1.00, +1.50, +2.00, +2.50) are known as dioptre and represent the optical strength of the lens. The higher the number the stronger the strength. If your glasses are too strong, it may cause headaches or eye strain. If your glasses are too weak, you can always just move up to the next highest diopter.
Once you determine your power, you’ll be all set to shop for the perfect pair of readers.
